For our worship service this Sunday, April 19, and also for April 26, the St . Thomas worship staff and the worship committee decided to try a “patchwork” recording of the worship service which allows several members or families to participate in leading the service. Some members recorded themselves speaking or singing the various parts of the service. Then the separate recordings are spliced together. If you would like to volunteer to record a section of the April 26 service, please let Susan Krieg know.
We planned three Good Friday video services this year. The first, a Good Friday noon spoken service with Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Indianapolis, was cancelled due to technical difficulties.
The second, at 3:00, will be Encounters with Jesus – A Taizé Service for Good Friday. It’s over, but the video is available here – this is a direct link, so you won’t have to hunt for it. This beautiful experience is a a collaboration among St. Thomas, Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Indianapolis, and St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in St. Paul, Minnesota.
